• ALSC Bark Limitations. This is a reminder that the ALSC has it debarking requirement in place to be implemented on January 1, 2009. The ALSC, in re: to WPM, ISPM 15, IPPC, APHIS, SWPM proposal amendments are still out for country review, so the AMERICAN LUMBER STANDARDS COMMITTE WILL NOT have a revised standard to implement on JAN 1, 2009. Given what we  now, we are advising clients to start limiting bark on a voluntary basis based on the IPPC  proposed ispm15 Bark limitations.

It is believed that export shipping of wood pallets, wood skids or wooden crates from county to county, ships the bugs along with the wood. What do you think? Does,Heat Treating the wood kill the bugs?
